These were handmade in Korea - we had another set that was similar that we acquired with these that had written Korea 1952 -53 on the bottom. These are very rare and collectible! (one of these appears to have additional writing ‘Aug 52’ , so assuming also from 1952.
The paint seems to be like a chalk paint - which wears off rather easily- so for the age , these are still in great condition!
